Martin Best

Martin Best is the founding partner of The Corporate Theatre.

Martin attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Royal College of Music (where he studied for a year with the guitarist John Williams), and the University of Leeds, where he gained an MA in English by research into Shakespeare’s treatment of medieval ideas of love and music.

Theo Best

Theodore Best is Poet in Residence at The Corporate Theatre.

He completed a BSc in Psychology at Goldsmiths College, a Masters in Philosophy at King’s College London, and, most recently, a Masters in Creative Writing (Poetry) at the University of East Anglia. He teaches English as a Foreign Language in Norwich.

Marija Skobe-Pilley

Marija Skobe-Pilley is musician in residence at The Corporate Theatre and is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Cambridge on the role of art-based learning in business organisations. Prior to receiving her MPhil, also from Cambridge, Marija completed a BA and MMus in Organ Performance and Music Education at the University of Zagreb Music Academy (2009) and was awarded an Erasmus exchange scholarhip at the Conservatorio di Musica in Bologna (2010).

Kit Kowol

Kit Kowol is Historian in Residence at The Corporate Theatre. Kit received his BA and MA from Durham University and recently completed a doctorate in Politics at the University of Oxford. His research, which focuses on rediscovering radical political thought in twentieth century Britain, has been published and presented widely. He has previously been a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley and a guest lecturer for the Copenhagen Business School.

Lucy Best

Lucy trained at The Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design, where she graduated with distinction.

She holds a Master of Arts degree in Fine Arts from the University of Portsmouth, where her thesis Art and the Brain explored the connections between the arts and neuroscience. She is a qualified teacher, and an Associate of the Institute for Learning.

Chris Barton

Chris Barton is a theatre director, musician and trainer of many years’ experience. He has directed for the Royal National Theatre, and all over the UK, as well as in Japan, Russia, The Netherlands and the USA. He has taught and directed at numerous Drama Schools, and for several years ran The Contemporary Shakespeare Company, taking tailor-made performance programmes into schools and colleges.

Sue Best

Sue Best is co-founder of The Corporate Theatre, graduate of The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a renowned voice and drama coach and facilitator. She has created, produced and designed music theatre productions internationally, both for theatre and television, and has been voice and movement coach at numerous ‘Artist in Residence programmes’ in the USA and Canada.
